Mareen Baumeister is a multidisciplinary designer working at the intersection of ecology and technology with a focus on researching materials and their manufacturing processes. She investigates the network of ecological, historical, political and social forces that shape the material world, deals with waste management and the development of alternative strategies. For this purpose, she questions and reflects on behaviors, develops not only new sustainable materials, but also (digital) production methods in order to open up perspectives for the future.
